There were many variations on the bullmoose theme that came on early MTB's. Some had much more vertical rise than reach, others were flatter. Some were cheap, heavy, chromed steel, others were nice chromoly. Of the ones i've seen, the 80's ones were generally much straighter--with less sweep to the grip area--than the Riv/Nitto remakes.
