My experience does not agree. As you know, I'm in the metro Washington DC area, a place that can get beastly in the summer. One of the British officers associated with the invasion and the burning of the Capitol said the climate was the same as in the Gulf of Benin. And I wear a helmet all year round, and do not find it hot. But I think I would go out of my mind in short order with even a scarf around my neck. And this thing would be a whole lot hotter than a scarf.
