When I asked Spenser about weatherproofing Sackville Grid Gray fabric with Otter Wax, he asked the Scot fabric makers, and here was their reply: > > "With regards restoring or refreshing traditional proofed canvas I am not > sure there is a lot you can do. So I tried it on the bottom of the large bag and liked the result, and finished out both bags. The grid gray bags came out beautiful, waterproof and stiffer. As expected, it left a sheen on the fabric. The key is to not apply too much wax - the grid tries to grab it - use a blow drier, and rub it in well with your fingers, per the instructions.
