I live in brooklyn, old brooklyn that is, not wanna be NYC Hipsterburg or
Bushwick or Park Slope and I have never seen another Rivendell here. Really
not surprising since most of Brooklyn is working class and Rivendells are
somewhat decadent, albeit lovely. I do get some nods and good chats with
people on LHTs and other Surly bikes but I have yet to see another
Rivendell out here in South Brooklyn. I do get the typical mix of comments
asking if the bike is either old or expensive. I had some old man berate me
that spending more than 100 dollars on a bike is way to much, haha.
