Also, the bar end pod showed alot of wear to that raised square bump-out on the inside surface, so it won't take an adapter because the edges are worn. So I am getting a new shimano pod + adapter installed (adapter similar to the one's Riv sells). The LBS had some. They fit like a glove. Then a proper mount of the lever. And I hope that does the trick. Otherwise I don't know what to do next. Start tearing my hair out. Crying may help. Maybe new chain and cassette. I hope this doesn't get expensive.
