Jim - I toured with a friend around Glacier and Waterton and parts in between in 2010. There was construction on the Going to the Sun road then and we were held up at several places (for quite a while in 2 spots, maybe 15 or more minutes). But so were all the cars. People were friendly and calm as they waited. And the road crews were very accommodating to the two of us on bikes. In each section, as we got moving after waiting for the go signal, we politely reminded the person managing the flow that we would be much slower than cars. And they held traffic longer on the other end because of us.
Bottom-line: still a gorgeous ride, well worth it (I'd never been there, or to any of the other places we visited), and fun.
