I think the kids call it a microblogging site - it can be used to
aggregate "found" web content and generally has pretty direct controls
of who says what within your stream, without making you maintain a
separate site. It was paid-ad-free, though they've recently announced
a deal (or two) to move towards that model.
But, specific to your question:
- Go to Tumblr.com and register (sign up) for an account.
- View the Rivbike.com blug while logged in.
- You do need a reasonably compliant browser for all the little web
doohickeys to work reliably, but should have the options to comment,
reblog (have it appear in your feed on tumblr).
You can set it up so that tumblr automatically republishes stuff from
other sites (such as flickr) to your stream. You can make it as
complex or simple as you wish.
