I doubt Grant intended for the bottom to be utterly flat at all times. He often mentions how a bag's capacity can be pushed beyond it's listed numbers when stuffed fully, which he considers a benefit. Not that you have to stick with that concept, I'm just saying the Sackville is probably operating as designed.
