I've narrowed my search down to the Conti Ultra Gatorskin 27 1 1/4 and possibly the Marathon, or the Pasela. But while the Conti reviews I've seen characterize the U G as nice-rolling, all those for the 27" Marathon focus on its durability. The trike has 3 wheels and is ridden on decent roads and I an inured to fixing flats, so my first requirement is a tire that doesn't feel like a dog (should feel like a god). Flat resistance and long wear are #2 and #3 in desirable qualities.
I have put many miles on the Pasela but don't like its fragility and how it has to be set to just the right pressure. But it does ride nicely. Using it as a standard, is it a nicer rolling tire than the 27" Marathon? (Seen in my tire search: someone's recommendation to combine thorn proof tubes and Mr Tuffys with a belted tire.
