Good to know about those rims. I've been using a hoard of Sun M14A rims that have been bulletproof at about the same weight or a bit under but they are narrow at 19 mm outside to outside. So far no problems with the 35 mm Kojaks, but 32 mm Paselas felt weird if the pressure dropped even a bit too low.
FWIW, I built my wheeset with Ultegra until I rebuilt it with Surley/SON. Jim: any sign of the new hollow axle-cum-shoulder/bearing assembly for the Surley flip flop hub?
