I managed to puncture a Foss tube last night on the San Francisco
Randonneurs Russian River 300k brevet. I've ridden about 700 miles on the
Hilsen since putting medium 650b Foss tubes with Hetres. It was a big
thorn that got me. It's hard to say exactly how long it took to lose
enough air to catch my attention, but it sure seemed from the time I found
it to be excessively squishy to the time I found it essentially unrideable
was only a few minutes. It was after dark at about mile 165, so I was
trying to limp into Fairfax so I could have light and a cup of coffee while
I fixed it. I tried pumping it up, but it was leaking too fast. I had the
Fossy sticker patches, so the fix was quick. The thorn was still in the
tire, but I didn't get a great look at it in the dark. I just picked it
out and it landed on the ground. I had been running 40psi in front, and 45
in back.

I'm not reaching any conclusions based on this one flat. It's just one
flat. But I know some of you want reports of this type.
