I took a look at this because I was thinking of riding my Quickbeam on RRE 2012, but was worried about the Fallingwater climb. Lots of fun. We rode from Ohiopyle to Falling Water because I'd never seen the house. It was not a difficult climb, long not steep, and with some breaks and definitely worth it. Reservations are needed for the Falling Water tour, and there are specific times. We were there on a weekday in October and had no trouble getting a reservation the same day. But on a weekend, it might be more difficult. Just some details to keep in mind as you plan. Train: we used a shuttle service, much more economical than the train - at least for traveling between DC and Pittsburgh. The way the Amtrak schedule worked would have required a night in a hotel, so the shuttle was cheaper (though it would have been neat to take Amtrak).
