To the contrary, this is a highly elegant & efficient solution
(especially when you're retired, with a billable rate of $0/hr).  The
11-34 was given to me.  Harris no longer makes custom 8 speeds, and
their 13-34 9 speed costs $124.95.  And what's the fun of just buying
something when the alternative is assembling from spare parts?
