I sold my Hillborne, planning to get an Atlantis. As I've posted more than once, that Atlantis idea is not urgent and is becoming less urgent. My loaded touring fantasies won't be practical for at least a decade, for myriad reasons. So, the stuff that I have as Atlantis placeholders are not so badly needed.
I'm offering for sale to the group the wheelset from my Hillborne. The rims are 36 hole Bontrager Fairlanes (symmetric front, asymmetric rear). DT spokes. Current XT rear hub. NOS Specialized sealed bearing front hub. Silver rims, silver hubs. I rode them maybe 750 miles on my Hillborne. They were handbuilt by me. I'm not Rich Lesnick experienced but I am experienced. ~15 years of bike shop work. I probably have not built 1000 wheels in my life but I probably have built 500. Anyhow, I think these wheels are substantially nicer than the budget Synergy 700 wheelset that Riv sells for $250. I'm asking $175 and hoping for local (East Bay) pickup.
