During the dark times of the year I find myself adding to the lighting on my Saluki to make myself more visible on my commute.
Plus it can be entertaining to have the bike masquerading as some sort of alien conveyance. I'm fond of passive and active lighting. Reflective gear is excellent for taking advantage of car lighting to help highlight the bike. Active lights are good for getting recognized and honored by cars exiting driveways, cars on intersecting roads, cars entering or exiting street side parking, along with ninja pedestrians, joggers, cyclists, and dogs. The Saluki is my choice for 'dark and stormy night' rides. Over the years, during winter, I've gradually added to the bike's lighting arsenal. There's a short video of this seasonably festive and pretty darn alien photon distributor in action on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rasterdogs/6532264723/in/photostream JimD Purveyor of rolling hallucinations -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
