Anne, There were models of leather-over-foam-over-plastic saddles made by Japanese manufacturers in the 1970s that had plastic saddle loops formed as part of the shell. These saddles were derivative of the Unica-Nitor style, and many of them have Brooks-style adjustable tension screws at the front of the plastic shell. Manufacturers include Kashima, Fujita, Elina and Ariake. You can probably find one on eBay.
