Yeah, I'd agree that they're a nice alternative to (previously owned) cheapo Tektro brake levers and pointy top Shimano levers. They're not quite on par with Campagnolo and Shimano machine quality, having used both extensively, but they rival their ergonomics. The hand hold on the lever was very well thought through, indeed. Initially, I regretted the "I'm a retro lever" appearance but the comfort obliterated that concern. I've come to enjoy how they look on my new AHH:
