It's funny, I used SunTour friction shifters like that for 10 years on
my commuter from 1985 - 1995, and I absolutely can't remember.  I'm sure
if I rode a bike so equipped I'd instantly use them correctly without
having to think about it, but thinking about it I'm just going blank.
Weird.
