> Philip: what is the problem with the S3X? Curious about durability --

I broke the right nut, got a free replacement, still can't get the
bottom two gears to engage in the stand. I have a call in to the rep,
but he's just back from Interbike today.

After I replaced my rear tire a few weeks ago, the wheel kept
slipping. I tightened the nuts down super-hard, but (apparently)
smashed the aluminum washer and cracked the nut at the narrow part. I
think the axle bottomed out inside the fancy nut and cracked the end
off. I replaced the ripped up washer with a steel one of the same
thickness, but can't get gears 1 and 2 to engage, no matter how fiddly
I fiddle. Top gear works no matter what.
