On my last trip into the Sierra Nevada mountains I had a down underquilt hanging under my hammock, a tarp to keep the wind at bay, a bag rated to 0F, and was freezing on some of the higher, more exposed, peaks. I didn't sleep very much a few nights because I was so cold.
