I also have a 54cm quickbeam and tried several frame pumps.  I found that it
always seemed to be in between pump sizes.  One size of a pump would be too
small and the next size up would be too big.  I have not tried it buy you
may want to try the Park adjustable frame pump.

I use a Lezyne mini-pump which I just throw in my bag and like a lot.
