Hi All,

I'm planning a tour of the sierra, and was originally planning to ride from
mt. shasta as my starting point.

Unfortunately, I'll have to box my bike to take it on amtrak to get there--i
hate boxing my bike! So, I'm considering just going as far as redding--it
would be easier and I am hoping to still ride through shasta national forest
on back roads.

If anyone knows of a good safe route, especially just out of redding, I
would appreciate it. Road only, all dirt, singletrack--it's all fine by me
so long as it is ridable.

I'll be heading for burney falls, or even big bend area would be nice--I can
take it from there.

Thanks,

erik
