Gernot, visiting from Thailand, wanted to buy my H-bars, so we met at RBW Thursday and went for a little ride in the Mt. Diablo foothills. We saw Esteban at RBW; he was there to buy some parts but didn't have time to join us. Esteban had his VeloCult Nobilette Demountable Randonneur, a very sweet looking bike.
List member Joe Bunik joined us for the ride. Gernot borrowed a Hunq, I rode my Quickbeam, and Joe rode one of his Miyatas that is set up with cross tires and dirt drop bars. The weather was warm but not too hot, and I think Gernot got a good taste of the Diablo area. Joe and I were both playing hooky from work and had to limit the ride time, but plenty of fun was still had. On our return, we stopped at Joe's garage so Gernot could buy some more parts to take back to Thailand. Apparently riv/bob-ish parts are not readily available there. Here are a few crappy pics from my Blackberry, including one where I was wishing I brought more gears: http://www.flickr.com/photos/20986098@N04/ jim m wc ca -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
