I think these Ergons are a great idea. Grip tape is the best pedal
surface, hands down. I'd cover the whole pedal with grippiness, but it
looks like they've covered the main load area.

I've been riding my grip-taped MKS pedals, and really like them.
They're just as narrow as ever, but now they feel very secure, even in
the rain. The first string of hot days made the tape slip around on
the metal, but not enough to impair function (my skateboard-deck
pedals haven't done this).
