Yeah, I think you go 2.4W on the front to keep room for the 0.6W taillight.  
I decided that integrating the rear light into the dynamo system was/is 
unnecessary/redundant for me.  I can and during dark brevets do run dual 
battery powered blinkies on the seatstays, another tiny one on the seattube, 
and another tiny one on my helmet.  Add to that the safety triangle and my 
reflective clothing and I'm already lit up like a very very unfashionable 
Christmas tree.  The point of the dynamo was road illumination and maybe 
gadget charging.  Another wire running the length of the bike would get 
mangled the way I end up using it.  Maybe if I had a nice internal wiring 
custom, I'd go that route.  Someday.
