Grant, et al., When I was looking for a Baggins-like bag I inquired at Frost River about whether they were still in business or not. I received an email from the guy that runs the place now, Chris Benson. Here is a snippet of his email:
As for the marketing stuff, here is some background... -Yes, Frost River used to design and make bags for Rivendale. This relationship erroded before I was involved with the company. -The founder of Frost River was forced to shut down the business in September of 2008 and it was down for 1 year. -I purchased Frost River from him and brought it back to life (fortunately with many of the same employees) in September of 2009. I ended up buying a modern bag (Saddle Sack) from you guys. But it might be worth noting (assuming this guy is telling the truth) that the current company is a just remnant of the former company.
