I was passing through Confluence Park this morning when I spotted a
shiny new AHH parked in the shade along Cherry Creek. I ended up
having a great conversation with its owner, Paul, while siting under
the trees. He's a 69 year old fellow, who is recovering from a pretty
severe car accident that has left him with some serious pain and
immobility in his right leg, as well as some damage to his back.
Anyway, he's a longtime rider and after the accident, he realized he
was unable to ride his beloved Waterford road bike (with chrome lugs)
anymore. He just ordered and received this AHH a month or so ago, and
by all accounts he loves it! The Alba bars and B.68 make for a more
comfortable ride than his road bike, and he's now able to get out
regularly. When he ordered the bike he was expecting a lot of back
and forth regarding fit, and was thoroughly amazed that Keven and Mark
delivered such a well fitting bike with only his PBH.

His was a gorgeous and spotless bike with a standard Riv build,
including the new Longboard fenders. I was riding my Quickbeam that
suddenly seemed disgustingly dirty and a bit ratty. I might take his
advice and clean it, even though I assured him that while I'll win no
beauty awards, my bikes are always in tiptop mechanical shape :).
Paul got to check out my SaddleSack , Platrack, and dynohub. He was
pretty impressed at the quality of materials and craftsmanship in the
saddlebag (as am I). And I got to check out the Soma B-Lines on his
bike, which I've been pretty keen to see. He turned me onto a great
LBS I didn't know about and we got to talk bikes for a good long
while. If you're in the Denver area, keep and eye out for Paul and
his AHH. Super nice fella...

Here's his bike... http://tinyurl.com/3hfwqgh
