I've been reading with interest all the posts about pedals these last couple of days. I've been riding since toe clips were considered dangerous by folks that didn't use them. I'm talking late 60's. Went through all the new stuff as new stuff appeared. Grew older and developed foot pain. So I went through all the so called solutions. I have grip kings on all my bikes now but I've added an extension to help my foot from rolling off to the outside. I bought a 1 by 1/8th inch strip of alumium bar stock at my local lumber yard and bent the piece using a wooden mold I made in the shape of a U. I took out the bolds, both front and rear from the pedals, bought M5x16 allen head bolts and mounted them between the body and the studded screw on footplates. Now my foot doesn't want to roll off the outside of the pedal. I also mounted power grips and all is right with the world. Now if the rain would let up and some of the snow melt I'll be on my way to Canada via the Sierra/Cascades route offered by Adventure Cycling. Have a great summer everyone.
