Thank you to all who have posted about the Selle AnAtomica saddle.
Your thoughts and comments are much appreciated by Tom's family. And,
we'd like to update you all on what's happening with the company since
Tom's very untimely death.

Tom's death was so unexpected that he had made no preparations. As a
result, the company has been in the hands of the California courts in
order to sort out appropriate management. This is an ongoing process,
but at this time his mother, Doris MIlton has been appointed Chairman
of the Board for the company, and his sisters, Carol Milton and
Meredith Milton Evans, (that's me) are operating the company.
Collectively we have over 75 years of business experience, albeit not
in the bicycle business. Our backgrounds are in healthcare,
management and sales, so we expect to provide you with a solid
foundation upon which to sit!

To that end let me start by addressing the "stretching" issue. As one
of you commented, leather is a natural product and no two cows are the
same. There are going to be some differences from saddle to saddle
just because of the nature of natural materials. The dying process
also causes the saddles to wear differently. The lighter colors
stretch more than the darker colors, generally speaking. If your
saddle is honey, it will stretch more than if it's mahogany, for
example. The black saddles stretch the least and are the firmest.

For those of you who are less comfortable in the "hammock", you may
want to consider a darker color. If you like the feel of the hammock,
the lighter colors may work better for you.

We are also hearing that after an initial period of stretch, the
saddle stabilizes and does not continue to stretch. We will, however
consider replacement for excessive stretching based on the number on
your saddle. Please be in touch with us if you have questions.

We are also in the process of changing the website. We have approval
to move ahead with the new site and you will see an acknowledgement of
Tom's accomplishments. We are VERY proud of him and will do our best
to provide you with the service he would have wanted you to have from
his company. The new website should be public by June 1, please come
visit and give us your thoughts.

This is a family owned and operated business. We intend to continue
to operate it with our unique blend of skills and a commitment to
providing a high quality product and exemplary customer service. You
may contact us at [email protected], or
[email protected]. Our mission is to see that Tom's legacy of
"Saving your butt, one ride at a time" continues! Thank you for your
past business and your continued support.
