Hey Darin, I've been cycling for about 17yrs and it's really only been in the last 4 that I've started working on my bikes. I can't say that I always enjoy it but I've saved myself so many trips to the bike shop and understand my bikes and their/my needs a lot better. I was talking with a friend today about wheel building. Hopefully later this year I'll tackle that. I've been putting it off for too long.
I'm sure you'll do fine.
