Thanks for all the compliments. As to the two-decker rack, yes, I can
see stowing a burrito-wrapped kit (original, heavy Filson cloth,
please) underneath Fluffy's nest. (No, I don't really name my dogs
"Fluffy.")

Y'all have probably experienced how some bikes just "fit" and "work"
when you first get on. The Herse was like that for me: just a minor
saddle adjustment and all is very well. It fits better, frankly, than
the already comfortable Fargo and as well as my two custom Rivs -- I
may adjust bars on the two Rivs to match: from about 5 cm below to
about 1 cm below-to-even, with a 9 instead of a 10. We'll see.
(Saddles and top tubes are much the same on all of the bikes.)

Now: please give me advice how to get more hoods braking power from
the Mafac levers and the Mafac cantis?

And, #2, ISO wide range 5 sp freewheels and 28 t rings for a 86 bcd
Stronglight crank, as well as 42 and 26 t rings for a Pro 5 Vis.

A billion stars go spinning through the night
Blazing high above your head;
But in you is the Presence that will be
When all the stars are dead.
