Thanks for all the compliments. As to the two-decker rack, yes, I can see stowing a burrito-wrapped kit (original, heavy Filson cloth, please) underneath Fluffy's nest. (No, I don't really name my dogs "Fluffy.")
Y'all have probably experienced how some bikes just "fit" and "work" when you first get on. The Herse was like that for me: just a minor saddle adjustment and all is very well. It fits better, frankly, than the already comfortable Fargo and as well as my two custom Rivs -- I may adjust bars on the two Rivs to match: from about 5 cm below to about 1 cm below-to-even, with a 9 instead of a 10. We'll see. (Saddles and top tubes are much the same on all of the bikes.) Now: please give me advice how to get more hoods braking power from the Mafac levers and the Mafac cantis? And, #2, ISO wide range 5 sp freewheels and 28 t rings for a 86 bcd Stronglight crank, as well as 42 and 26 t rings for a Pro 5 Vis.
