Specs originated from CandlePowerForums and several people have used
this circuit designed by Martin Schmidt -
http://www.pilom.com/BicycleElectronics/DynamoCircuits.htm

My friend is an EE and he constructed it; otherwise I have no clue.
The circuit board was designed for the DIYer using readily available
components, and as such it's not so compact (compared to the Schmidt,
B&M and E3 LED dynamo lights on the market). This requires housing
the circuitry in a separate (in this case) "tube". The output of this
light is awesome... super bright. There is no standlight so I would
always use a small battery-LED light as an auxiliary for when I stop.

For a DIY dynamo light, this one is pretty amazing with the amount of
light it produces. There are 4 LEDs (CREE) packed together on one
tiny chip.
