Yes, so true. I have never packed the bag out. I've come close with a light windbreaker packed inside, but still had wiggle room.
I want to add that the button models were a pain. A half full bag - which mine often is -- creates a sag in the middle that created an opening between the two buttons. Good way to lose small items. Also, on a fenderless bike riding on a fire road, I'd find several tablespoons of grit and gravel in the bag at the end of the ride. That doesn't happen with the V-Brand bags that have zippered closures. It was good to have done away with the buttons, IMO. ________________________________ From: CycloFiend <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, April 16, 2011 9:27 AM Subject: Re: [RBW] Re: Small Saddle Bag- Nigel Smythe Keven's or Sackville Saddlesack XS? on 4/14/11 5:09 PM, Geoff at [email protected] wrote: > Thanks, Everyone, for your great comments. > > It sounds like the new Saddlesack XS looks very similar in design to > the NS Keven's bag. Decisions, decisions. LOL I've got one of the earlier Keven's Bags, and I'm amazed by how much stuff I can cram into it when the need arises. I've been running it on the QB for the most part, with two tubes, a saddle cover, tool wrap, couple o' patch kits, mini-pump and two or three other kit items. When loaded like that, it's nowhere near maxed. Great little bag. - Jim -- Jim Edgar [email protected] Could you take a moment to vote for me?
