I regularly hop on my wife's Betty to go to the corner store for quick supplies. It's a fun ride. She also has a Pashley, and I'm rarely tempted. Not because of it's froo-froo-ness what with the Princess Sovereign's straw basket and all, but because the Betty feels rock solid and fast, and the Pashley not so much. I'd bet the Yves or or Betty would be a nice light tourer.
