Update.  I prepped the Hilsen last night for a 300k I'm doing on
Saturday.  I put a couple hours more work into trying to get these
Hetres to run reasonably straight and round to no avail.  I'm going to
return them to Compass and see what comes of that.  Instead I put new
pair of Soma New Express tires on the Hilsen, and with no unusual
effort, they run perfectly normal.  So to me that rules out there
being anything fundamentally wrong with my rims or my tubes.  Those
Somas are Panaracer-made.
