Hi, I'm new to the RBW Owners Bunch. Earlier this month, I placed my order for a 54cm Hunqapillar, my first Riv. I'm very excited! It's going to be pretty much a standard Riv build-up, but with the Bullmoose bars w/Miesha's cork grips, Paul's Thumbies, and Ultegra bar end shifters. I'm primarily going to be using my Hunq for fitness and recreational road riding, alongside my wife with either her Betty Foy or Quickbeam.
I initially ordered a Brooks standard B17, but then changed it to a B17 Imperial in black. No problem, right? Well, then I discovered the Flickriver Hunqapillar pics pool, and realized that black isn't the only color that would work for the saddle with this gray and kidney bean red framed bike. I saw pics of other Hunqs that had honey and antique brown Brooks saddles on them, and thought they looked great. There's something about the "warmth" of the brown saddles that really seems to add character(imho) to the Hunq. My wife disagrees and feels that, on a basically gray framed bike, black is the most suitable color. The B17 Imperial is available in black, honey, and antique brown. I'd be interested to hear your opinions on this. Thanks, in advance.
