Patrick: I've owned the Titec alum version of the H-bar (licensed from Jeff Jones). I LOVE THESE BARS!!!
I had these on my Fargo, initially with Suntour thumbies, but friction- shifting a 9-speed cassette proved frustrating for me. Then I switched to Shimano XT Mountain brifters with hydraulic disc brakes, which (on the Fargo) were the bee's knees...they're made for these bars. You can pick up a set of the Titecs for about $50.
