Kevin, I should be at 3 Capes unless the weather is super dismal. It'll be my 4th time doing it so I don't feel like I'm missing anything if skip it. I just haven't been getting enough rides in. Seems like all the dry days are when I'm working. Two of the last three editions of 3 Capes have been rescheduled due to snow in the coast range. I wonder if that'll happen this year.
I think 3 Capes would be doable on a track bike. 2 of the Capes are pretty steep but the roads are usually quiet enough where you can traverse the road if it gets too much. The climb up and over the coast range is pretty tame and the climb back from Pacific City is nothing. Do say hi at the start if you're there. If I'm there. I'll be on the Hilsen although this will probably be the last brevet on it as my rando bike is back from the painters and waiting to get built-up.
