To each their own. I ride with a helmet. I ski with a helmet. Will either save me from a catastrophic collision? Unlikely. Could they mean the difference between a slight concussion and a brain bleed leading to death.
Does wearing a helmet cause me to think that I am somehow immortal or impervious to harm. Hardly. I see enough drivers on the road texting and cell phoning to know that I am one inattentive driver away from destiny. It does me no harm to wear the helmet, but I don't want to argue about the topic with others. Personally, I figure that Darwinian principles will win out and we will see fewer non-helmeted bicyclists and skiers as the generations move on. My dad always said that we were free to choose our own vices. To each their own. Luke McGlynn -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
