What route are you driving between Detroit and Altanta? If you veer towards the west through Nashville to get there, maybe Kim (m6hm) can give far better advice than me. The more direct route, through Knoxville, I might suggest Calhouns (I always go to the one on the River) for good food http://www.coppercellar.com/Restaurant-Calhouns.html.
