Hey I can't ride I might as well write. Generally speaking I'll try most anything once. So far I've had some really good experiances with clothing I've purchased from Rivendell. *My first purchase was a T-Shirt* .. it's lived a life of hitting the floor .. getting drinks spilled on it and has performed as a Tshirt.. Personally not sure I liked the logo dead center but it fits well and it's still in the rotation with other tshirts. *Then the Viyell Tartan fine check*.. Sweet.. this quickly turned into my favorite shirt for riding, work and going out to dinner. Just wish I could have gotten other colors in my size. *MUSA Pants* Really like them and have been riding in them alot and wearing them daily often. They would be nicer for me without the reflector on them. As I stated before my favorite is the olive with the velcro but the blue with the narrow leg is less hassle to ride with. Both wear well, dry quickly and fit in most situations including Work Casual Dress. I have one pair of each... I'm gong to be trying some cargo pants and stuff from target and such.. probably at least one pair fo the musa shorts .. I like the quick drying .. jean material get wet.. yuck *Wool Undies* Wear well fit great.. can't get over the price.. have lived up to everything stated and the smooth seems may be a reason I've been so successful riding comfortably spandex free.. (note one of the reasons there are many) *Zealand Wool Zip T* - Oh my God.. I loved this so much I purchased a second one. Fantastic garmet. I also ended up with two pairs of the *Wool semi Tights*.. Guess I'm getting old but having a great set of wool inderwear for the first time in my life (over 50 even) has been fantastic. Can't say enough about this combo. I could probably save 20 bucks on some other site, but I was introduced to them here. *a Rivendell cycling cap* -- never fit and the one size fits all was to small for my fat head.. see if the wife likes it. :) *SPLATS* - They work and are easy . *Things I'll be trying soon ..* *MUSA Mystery windshield*.. I have my doubts but if it blocks the front and doesn't heat me up as bad as full vests and such then it will be great. *Grudens Bike Poncho -* this one I purchased on faith in Rivendell. I saw cheaper at Peter White Cycles and such. But I've had good luck with quality and such with other products and gave this a shot. *Grudens Rain hat* - Ok honestly I bought this because my wife said it looked goofy.. but then I pictured me on my bombadil with albatross bars cruising the downtown area stylin.. enough said.. goofy purchase maybe. A *Freaking Cowboy Shirt*.. maybe my last .. maybe a piece to hang in the closet.. but if it's comfy and if it is good in heat.. then I may just be a cowboy shirt wearing goofball with a yellow rain hat. Look this is about good times for me.. and cycling.. as with the go fast crowd I'll find what works for me. I'll say what doesn't work and what does for me. I don't get the people yelling cult, or getting upset over a defect. If you buy it get it and don't like it send it back. Hello??? At times it sounds like talk radio only nicer I guess. I want to share and try new things. I get that here. Hopefully others start seeing it's not about a right and wrong way it's about a different way. It's a statement that just because people say it's so doesn't make it so.. find out for yourself. (preaching ends here) (wait --->here at the dot "." My main thing now is to make sure I just don't buy a different kind of cycling "specific" clothing. I have a closet full. I want it versatil like my bike... wearable away from the bike not just the coffee shop when I ride there... something I'm wearing during the day that doesn't need a bike.. just comfy.. and if I get on the bike I'm ready or even a car trip. (damn damn damn guess i'll have to cut and paste that dot down here. Sorry I was having fun with the cult thing.. and realizing how much I've enjoyed the products and things I've tried... give it a go folks have fun.. if you don't like try something else. (just send me the url) Kelly Don't try this.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tksleeper/5262223862/
