I've been meaning to ask a similar question for a few weeks now. Anyone ever tried petroleum jelly as a sidewall prophylactic? I'm thinking something that would fill the rubber pores and coat the surface with a hyrdophobic layer would be perfect for keeping the aluminum slurry from accumulating on sidewalls. Hmm, now that I write it down, it sounds a like a pretty good product idea -- Phil's Sidewall Protectant.
