I saw Mark Abele's JB grey/burgundy bike shortly after it arrived at RBWHQ.

I've wanted a Roadeo painted this way ever since.

This bike is gorgeous.

Now I'm off to ponder how I might rationalize something of this ilk.

The color choice is really beautiful.

As far as wheels are concerned, for the Roadeo, I've been using plain
old Mavic Aksiums with Jack Browns and Schwalbe Kojaks, which are
roughly equivalent tires in width, performance, and comfort. They
perform nicely.

I'd like to upgrade my wheels as well, and am looking for a
recommendation from the list:

My question for the list is: for upgrading the wheels, what is the
best choice for a lightweight rim? I have a couple other bikes with
the Velocity Synergy OCR rims, and think they are terrific. What
other rims are there, that list members would recommend, that are
similarly light, beautiful, and wide enough for Jack Browns?

I went with a "stock" grey and burgundy for my Roadeo, and I'm really
happy with that as well.

Off now for a ride, into the wet, on a blue Gunnar.
