Hi folks, I'm currently using a Wald Medium basket and Sackville ShopSack with 42cm Noodle Bars. I love the convenience of the basket, but I've only got a cm or so between my drops and the top of the basket. So it's crowded and I'm finding the basket to be an annoying restriction to my full use of the drops. I've tried turning the basket 90 degrees but there is too much overhang on the front and it looks terrible. So, I am thinking about switching bars.
I wouldn't mind going to a 44cm Noodle, but 46cm seems like too much of a jump to me. Does anyone have experience with 44cm Noodles and the Medium Wald (whose bars aren't well over the basket to begin with thus eliminating the problem)? Otherwise, I'm thinking about trying some wide Rando bars, maybe velo- orange's new 48mm bars which would give me 41cm at the hoods just like my Noodles, but plenty of room at the bends. Anyone want to sell me on Rando bars? I'm afraid of losing some comfort on the hoods and bar tops due to those funky angles. Thanks!
