I routinely and successfully wash all kinds of wool, including
knickers made from high end dress pants, on "delicates" in the
machine; when I remove knitted garments I gently stretch the tails and
arms -- none have shrunk yet. I then hang to dry. Most of mine are
non-specially-treated wool: pullovers like yours.
