The most memorable part of this show, aside from meeting Peter Weigle
and admiring his fine work.. (This bike, the 650B "Black Tie Affair"
dropped me to the floor - Lucky it was already sold:

Oh, and spending a few minutes with Mike Flanigan and partner Betsy at
the A.N.T. booth admiring Mike's amazing bikes, including this
gorgeous truss bike on display from an earlier Museum of Arts and
Design (NYC) exhibit - http://tinyurl.com/2fp94zs

Aside from these other highlights, it was really ALL ABOUT THE RIDE
there and back on my Bombadil: 11 miles of blissful riding along the
D&R Canal and Princeton's Carnegie Lake to the train station, then 2
trains to Philly, and a short, enjoyable pedal across the river into
downtown). Riding the Bombadil is just such a pleasure. I got a few
admiring looks on my Bombadil. In fact, I was talking to a young frame
painter from Bilenky and young frame-builder Marie of Folk Engineering
(Newark, NJ-based!!!), and when I mentioned I had parked my Bombadil
outside, their immediate reaction was "That's YOUR bike? We were both
admiring it"...

I attached a Wald basket to my Platrack, and it was SO nice to just
toss my small duffel in there and not worry about it... I also added a
Zimbale saddle bag to carry my pump, tools, etc... I've got to do more
pedal/train travel like this... It's a great way to travel... leave
the car, take the bike, and hit a distant destination all in one
day...fun stuff. Here's a shot of the Bomba, waiting on the early
train in Princeton Jct: - http://tinyurl.com/3a2yywk

Peace,
BB
