The 1992 Bridgestone catalog describes the difference between the two types of mustache bars they offered, the X0-1 type which used drop-bar levers and bar-end shifters (the type that Riv sells now) and the X0-2+ type which used MTB controls. It's on page 35 of the printed catalog, which is page 36 in this PDF:

The XO-5 was more like a typical "hybrid" with 622 mm (700c) wheels and a variant moustache handlebar with 22.2 mm (7/8") diameter, that used "mountain bike" type controls. This model was rather too compromised. That version of the moustache handlebar had fairly poor ergonomics with the supplied controls." http://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridgestone/index.html -Jason On Mon, Oct 25, 2010 at 11:14 PM, SJB <sjbrau...@gmail.com> wrote: > Once again, I find myself intrigued by mustache bars.
