No need to apologize Bobby...... you're just being honest.

I prefer the Bombadil the way it is too. I didn't buy it for it's
looks. I'm surely in the minority here in not caring about all the
pretty stuff on Riv bikes. The ride is what matters to me.  The water
bottle setup with the diagonal tube will be odd to me. The frame
doesn't need to be any stiffer.  It adds more unnecessary weight to
and already perfect frame. The frame can be as super heavy duty as you
want ...... but the limiting factor on the road will always be the
wheels. Are we to use 48 spoke wheels to compliment the stout-er
frame?  Lol:)  It's just seems like they've chosen their idea of
aesthetics over real world function to me.  It's not the end of the
world or anything ......but hey, it's their frames, and they can do
anything they want. We either buy them .... or we don't.

 I'd like another Bombadil..... one for the road, and one dedicated
off road.  I'll take the new paint scheme with the current frame.
