The crank looks OK to me. It isn't pretty, but it's not terrible like a big black carbon thing. I'm sure the weight will be be fine. . . and there's heavier AL cranks out there too. As I get older, the vanity of bike parts is wearing thin on me. Trying to get proper silver this and that in a sea of black, white , titanium and other finishes is just darn tiring.
