I use a hammock regularly while biking and hiking. Last year I used a Hennessy (with a larger tarp) while touring Banff and Jasper National Parks. I then switched to a Warbonnet Blackbird double layer 1.1oz hammock, and now I have since switched to a homemade double-layer hammock and bug-net. The Hennessy is a nice, solid, and well-made hammock, but I prefer top entry over bottom entry. The Warbonnet Blackbird is an excellent hammock and gets great reviews on the Hammock forums (linked below), but I prefer my homemade hammock over all others because I made it and also because it is just as comfortable as the Warbonnet.
If you have any sewing skills, even if your skills are poor like mine, making your own can be satisfying.
